At least where I live, gay people get jobs easier (because if you refuse to hire one after he tell you he is gay, you get sued for anti-gay discrimination).
Also that men get more money than women is sort of a misconception.
In general, it is true, yes, if you sum all men and women, women truly get 77% of the money.
But if you compare individuals in the same job, usually women get paid HIGHER.
Then, why men get more money? It is because many (not all) women work less hours, and many women work in less demanding jobs (not because they are lazy mind you, but because they have more responsabilities than the jobs), and many refuse to work in particularly dangerous jobs. For example, rapelling window cleaners in Brazil has one of the highest salaries of the country (many get 5000 USD monthly or even more, while the average wage monthly is 400 USD), but about 95% of them are male, because females plainly refuse to take such dangerous job (it is not employers that refuse to hire them).
So yes, men collectively do get more money, but individually in the same job with the same hours, they get less. What happen is that men get more jobs, and more higher paying jobs.
Also like I just said, I once nearly got a beating (I escaped) when I declared being straight while in middle of gays. This go both ways.
Also my house got attacked many (that I know, it is 7 or more) times by black people, because I am white. (living in a mostly black neighborhood).
And it is not because that some white people were imperialists, that all white people are evil and deserve to get less rights than the others. (erm, several constitutions say all citizens are equals... but seemly this does not apply to gays, black, native americans...)
Also atheist rights also exist, for example in many countries religious symbols are banned in some places (like schools, legal courts, public repartitions... and there is a known case here in Brazil of a soccer player getting a red card after showing a t-shirt of Jesus after scoring a goal).
What I mean is, it is nice to push rights for equality, for example women did not had the right to vote, then first generation feminism got it, and then both men and women had the right to vote, thus becoming equals. Blacks were slaves, then they were freed, now becoming equal to whites. But now after those rights exist, people want rights that take the rights of another, for example everyone has the right for education, unfortunately not always education is available to everyone (Brazil for example only 3% of the population has university), the government decided that then blacks deserved to get in university more than whites, taking the right of a white to study, and giving it to a black. Thus tipping the scale and making it unequal. The government here used as reason to create black quotas, the fact that only 3% of the university students were black... They only did not told that also only 3% of the students were white, all others were tagged as mixed race, asian, native american or something else. Also, during the quota controversy, one faction in the government supressed research from another group, where they found that 3% of the population was black... And in the end, several universities got a 10% black person quota. So, if 3% of the population is black, and 3% of the university population was black, why now blacks have more right than whites to study? Why blacks are entitled to 10% instead of the 3% that they already had? And why hard studying whites and asians, do not have the right to learn anymore?
And final interesting tidbit:
http://blig.ig.com.br/jornalistadiplomado/files/2008/12/capa380.jpgThe pic on this magazine, is two brothers that are identical twins. One of them, was allowed to get in as black, the other not.
