Regarding intolerance to celibates...
Yes, it exists. Kinda bizarre when most people think about it, because several religions (that are theoretically popular, like christianism) favour it.
The thing is: People are not REALLY christian anymore, and do not follow christian moral codes. I am christian, heterosexual, celibate until marriage, male and whiteish (where I live people think I am white... but in germany probably I would be something else...)
Beside christian haters (and I met a lot of them, much more than what they claim that christians hate others... and not even disclosing that I am christian, I met random people on the street that see a women with long dress and say: Oh, she is one of these evil christians that ask people to be celibate and whatnot... and ramble about how evil christians are...), I've met lots of problems regarding celibacy.
The first one, is people accusing me of being gay... that one is annoying and offending (yes, I feel OFFENDED if you say I am gay. I have some gay friends, but to me calling someone else gay is a offense).
The second one, is people saying that I am a liar (this is more common among women), the problem is that sometimes I get tagged permanently as liar, and people do not believe anything that I say.
The third one, is general bullying because I am celibate.
The fourth one, is related to religious intolerance, people that figure from my celibacy that I am not atheistic, and proceed to attack me (since several religions have celibacy rules, theist people rarely engage in that behavior, since they do not know if I am of their religion or not).
Thus yes, there are some intolerance with celibates. Also, celibates are now really a minority, I met really few celibate people (both male and female), even when I went to church (I do not go anymore). Once in a event, the pastor asked all those that commited fornication or adultery to come forward and ask to be forgiven. 60% of the persons present went forward... The thing is: The event was to teenagers, everyone was below 17 (I was 14 for example). So, if 60% of christian teenagers fornicate, I imagine how much everyone do it.
Then the second subject, of minority pride... I loathe it. Plainly because it is the vehicle of hate against a now minority...
Many times I got attacked for being a white heterosexual christian male. People go near me and say: "You are a evil black/gay/female abuser and discriminator and also you are a evil religious fanatic." (note: one grandpa is black. I have nothing against blacks, for obvious reasons).
Or when getting a job, white hetero males are the first to get fired, because they can't sue for discrimination.
Or one, I saw a guy with a t-shirt 100% black. I asked him what he would think of me using a t-shirt 100% white (of course I am not 100% white, I am 75% white, but this was a theoretical question). His reply was: "You can't do it, you are a fucking evil slaver."
Or gay parade... The city where I live, is Brazil most gay city (this is not a joke), and thus is where the biggest gay events happen and whatnot (if you are wondering, the city is Campinas, and it even has travestite and transexual tourism), once I was crossing one of those gay pride parades with a car, some people approached the car, and asked me to join them, I said them I were heterosexual, soon they started to shout to others that I was a anti-gay guy. I had to almost trample them because people started to close on the car with stones and sticks in hand.
So, I am very against this "positive" discrmination methods, specially legally enforced ones (ie: university quotas. That create the problem of people hating or pitying blacks, the haters argue that blacks stole their place and wronged them, since here to get to university you have to participate in a competition, and the pity ones, believe that blacks are too stupid and idiotic and so they need quota to get in university, because if they were intelligent as whites they would not need quotas...)
As I see now, political correctness and anti-discrimination behavior, is creating more problems than fixing them, it became like a reverse hate, with white hetero christian males (now actually a minority... males are less than females since humans exist, now that being gay is more accepted lots of people come out and declare themselves gay, and few people are actually white... most people I see, even in other countries except for north europe, are of mixed race).
It really bothers me, that I cannot approach a female without being tagged as chauvinist or pervert (and like I said, I am celibate! It does not even make sense), a child without being tagged as pedo, a black without being tagged as nazi... I think we have much more hate in society now, than we had in the 70s during the hippie era... the punks, hippies, feminists and other counter-culture movements from 50s to early 80s managed to get equality, but now the pendulum is swinging too far to the other side.
EDIT: fixed a typo that caused a great problem to understand the text.
