Ludum dare 20 is almost upon us, and once again we’ll be hosting a gathering at CB2 Bistro in Cambridge, UK.  There’s food, drink, and plenty of space for laptops. Come and join us!

Loving the poster! Who's behind it?

Unfortunately, I already have plans for the bank holiday weekend Sad

I am planning to come up and join you again. Probably have to leave early Sunday afternoon though.

Can I have crash space like last time?

Hmmm... I'm quite tempted to come... but as an oldskool C++ coder, I don't seem to fit into these modern Flash/Unity-dominated LD48s so well...

I've been learning a little bit of AS3 though - as soon as Flash Player 11 / Molehill goes live, I'll make an effort to get a decent framework together so I can join in with the web-based Ludum Dare action Smiley

Plenty of people still use C++! Just use what you're comfortable with!

You can do it! :-) I went to a TIGjam in cambridge last year, and at least I got some stuff done for the 2 and 3 hour jams, using just plain old C++. Admittedly, my "games" wasn't as nice as some of the other stuff, but I think that's more down to my general skill in game making Tongue

Just make sure you have some sort of library ready beforehand, so you don't have to do it all from scratch. I used my own little 2D game engine, which I obviously know inside out, so makes it quite fast for me to work in...
