I really enjoyed Portal, but thought it felt a bit padded by the end so I'll probably give Portal 2 a miss until it's in the inevitable 'game for a dollar' Steam sale.

The ingame store is absolute horseshit. They could've at least informed people about it before release, but then, that would've hurt their sales and reputation. Funny how you leave 'features' like that in your game, knowing that they're shit. As someone who pre-ordered, I feel betrayed.
That said, the game is great fun. I'm up to Chapter 8 and have enjoyed it immensely. The atmosphere is great, the puzzles are clever and the voice work is absolutely fantastic (though J.K. Simmons is grossly underused). Story and writing seem a lot more forced this time around though. In Portal 1, the black humor was natural. Here, you can tell they were going 'need more whacky shit'.
