moff has already brought a few things back, namely the silurians and the classic cybermen. anyway, season 6 is off to a fantastic start, the silence are damn terrifying. as for the girl i doubt they will make it so the doctor got amy pregnant or some shit like that. for one, he's a different species and the writers know that, plus it would be way too soap opera-ey. i think they are trying to make it as clear as possible that she's with rory. also, it seems pretty clear that there's still quite a few mysteries about amy. that said, when the episode ended i was flipping the fuck out.

The lower leftmost one reminds me of David Tennant and the one to the lower right of that one reminds me of Chris Eccleston. I'm assuming the eleventh doctor isn't portrayed? (there are only ten cats) btw = god

The only episode I remember was some newer one involving the Daleks. Come come now, no need to spoiler the second most famous trademark of the series. Dr who? Dr Ivo "eggman" Robotnik of course!
What a coincidence.

What a coincidence. Sonic CD had the time stone and sonic generation bring back the time travel as a plot (was also there in 2k6)

My girl and I were arguing about this. I'm thinking that the Doctor is not banging Amy, and the child is future-Amy's that absorbed tardis energy - but it didn't quite grow a time-head. She thinks Amy did end up sleeping with the Doctor, because "even though he's not Tennant, he's still better than Rory". Logical. Also, IMG-David Tennant = god

This. Amy? sleeping bang with by the doctor? is that a kind of bad sonic fanfiction?

I cannot wait to see Series 6 when it hits the download.
I wish it was on Hulu or Netflix or something.

I saw Christopher Eccleston at Reading Festival last year. I wanted to go up to him and gush about how I loved him in Doctor Who, but I remembered he is the only Doctor who won't associate himself with the program any more. I thought it'd just annoy him so I didn't approach him. I loved the Ninth Doctor more than Ten <_<

I loved the Ninth Doctor more than Ten <_<So do I, or at least, I love his writing and his delivery more. He seemed more down to earth, and serious, as befits a great warrior from a magnificent empire.

I think the ninth doctor was, as you describe, more serious. He was confident and faced few real challenges in the first season. But the tenth doctor was the sympathetic, as he was discovering that he couldn't save everyone. The eleventh doctor seems to be a transition to a doctor who has realized this and is motivated by adventure, where preserving cultures comes second. (The tenth doctor would have never had the entire Silence eradicated with hardly a second thought) Of the three, I actually liked Chris the least. Not that I disliked him, but he lacked the charm of the two who've followed him.

the tenth doctor was seriously the worst pacifist ever. he killed people all the time, but it didn't count because he didn't use guns and he didn't bring up his pacifism so nobody would notice.

Ten killed things, but he cried about it so I guess it's okay.
I thought Tennant was okay when he was in the role but Matt Smith just completely blows him out of the water. He has a far greater range of emotion, and every moment he's on screen, even if the episode is so-so or he's not doing anything particularly interesting, he's still entertaining to watch. 'The Lodger' from last series is one of my favourite episodes even though it's just scene after scene of The Doctor doing domestic stuff, and the alien threat is mostly forgettable. I don't think Tennant could have carried an episode like that basically on his own (I'm aware it was a Tenth Doctor comic strip before it was an episode but they are almost completely different stories).[/rant I guess]
Also I am watching City of Death at the moment. It's brill.

I like seeing the three most recent doctors as his reaction to the time war;
9 is straight out of it, emotionally fucked, he's just spent a long time without anybody else to try and come to terms with it. That's why he more or less abandons rose at the beginning of the first episode, he doesn't want company. Rose sets him on the path to recovery. He's still bitter, so he's more closed in than other doctors in the past, and the future. Because of the war, he's a pacifist, but a strange one. He seeks to prevent war by any means, but is not unwilling to fight. As mentioned in the empty child series, he's actively sought to destroy weapons (see the thing about the banana factory). Despite his hate for war, he's still got a special loathing for the daleks. He's willing to kill a defenceless one in "dalek", as well as being willing to wipe out most of humanity to kill a single fleet (and the emperor, but that's not so important).
As I said, rose sets him on the path to recovery. When he regenerates, he comes back as a much more open person, more willing to talk about his life. In a way he's more of a pacifist than he was before. He's even less willing to outright kill things, even when it's the best course of action. In many ways, he's gone in the opposite direction to the 9th doctor, and is more in line with the time lords original aim to simply observe other cultures.
His current generation (11th) is a midway point. He's come to better terms with the time war, having seen the time lords again, as well as the daleks, and is more at peace with himself. He's now looking for adventure, and simply having a good time, as opposed to trying to eliminate conflict (9th) or find someone to share his anguish with (10th).
