I fucking hate Doctor Cheekbones, but it's probably the increasingly lazy writing that's put me off the programme, probably for good.

Ten killed things, but he cried about it so I guess it's okay.
I thought Tennant was okay when he was in the role but Matt Smith just completely blows him out of the water. He has a far greater range of emotion, and every moment he's on screen, even if the episode is so-so or he's not doing anything particularly interesting, he's still entertaining to watch. 'The Lodger' from last series is one of my favourite episodes even though it's just scene after scene of The Doctor doing domestic stuff, and the alien threat is mostly forgettable. I don't think Tennant could have carried an episode like that basically on his own (I'm aware it was a Tenth Doctor comic strip before it was an episode but they are almost completely different stories).[/rant I guess]
Also I am watching City of Death at the moment. It's brill.
nothing about this post is bad

I'm sorry, that was a bad joke, but I don't want it to kill this topic.
What did everyone think of pirates?

I liked it, but somehow I saw the twist where the thing turns out to be benevolent coming from a mile away.
And did the siren's singing remind anyone else of the girl who was singing in the Christmas special?
Also, with all the buildup for the Silence in season 5 I was surprised we didn't see them again in this episode, even if just as a minor reference.

Pirates 2 was better, bigger names and better scenes.

Moffat has a bold sense of theater but that was a really annoying place to leave it until autumn.
Mixed on this season so far. The last one was fantastic, this is splitting opinions. Ludicrously epic Moffat episodes but Doctor Smith is getting a little too cocky perhaps. Silence are great, more plz.
It's dry spells like this that make me rewatch series one and realize just how fun Eccleston was.

I haven't seen Doctor Who for a long time. I remember when I saw the episode with the gasmask people when I was little, damn, I was so scared.
Now it's my fetish addiction.

I just watched the latest episode. God this show is so flat. I will never get why people actually spend their free time on things they don't enjoy when there are so many alternatives out there. (And why they then actually talk about it, instead of just moving on.) So, on other note, latest episode was pretty nice. And I'm not one of the people who predicted the twist - I was like
