I just watched the latest episode. God this show is so flat.
I will never get why people actually spend their free time on things they don't enjoy when there are so many alternatives out there. (And why they then actually talk about it, instead of just moving on.)

So, on other note, latest episode was pretty nice. And I'm not one of the people who predicted the twist - I was like Epileptic

I liked the ecclestone season as well as most of the tennant ones. That episode was just reveal after reveal. I didn't really feel the buildup to it at all. It was as if all of a sudden the doctor is supposedly doing the "most epic thing he's ever done" and then it's just more and more people entering a room, and then leaving.

It almost seems like that episode should have been spread across half of the series with the doctor traveling about recruiting a team and then ending with something of substance.

new episode was boring.. jumped around too much. similar to pandorica episodes

tho very exciting! - i predicted the twist back in that ship with the Angels :3

now if they can just return to normal episodes..

Yes except for the fact that they killed off ALL the good characters.

I think it's long enough ago for people to already know about it  Shrug

But still, as good as that last episode was, it was so sad and frustrating.

I'm not exited about the fourth season. It's been adapted to the american market which most likely means it'll be yet another forensics smartass cast, with added amounts of "teh mystery stuff" to justify that idiotic rocket launcher they had sitting around on the CSI Set.

Sorry, just my reaction to the Torchwood trailer. Maybe it'll turn out interesting and the american way of doing TV Series is just the ingredient Torchwood needs. Alas, I'm not expecting much.

i agree that the twist was really reaaaallly predictable (although i do like the way they worked in the time lord dna, even if it hasn't been fully explained yet) and that it really lacked the scale it feels like it was meant to have. the doctor taking out a small, albeit prepared, military base is hardly his greatest achievement. he's done more monumental things regularly, resetting the fucking universe being a good point of reference. its hard to really hate for me though, mostly because it did have solid writing and some of the new characters were really great (the fuck was up with dorium's death though? he was one of the more savvy characters up to that point)
