Since you want to be all dramatic about this and try to twist what I am saying into something you can go off on a tangent about, let me clarify.
I want nothing other than this to be a positive community environment for everyone here, not just white males.
He is not a misogynist just because he has expressed negative views towards *some* women. Just like most any guy, there are some women he gets along with and some he don't.
He definitely displays misogynistic tendencies. Whether you see it or not is not really important.
I have to wonder how you'd behave here if nearly everything you posted on virtually any topic on TIGS was dissected and used to demonize you. Phubans has his flaws, sure, but he's not a 24/7 asshole. There's more than a few of you that seem to thrive on hunting down his posts and taking jabs at him and then going "OMG! Look what an asshole he is!"
I never actually expected someone to immediately accuse me of being "someone with a secret agenda against Phubans" like I said. This isn't about him at all (even though I know he wants it to be). It's about his and others
actions that make this an unpleasant place for women or other marginalized groups. I can't see how that can be viewed as something not worth defending.
I'm not as adamant as I once was that the explanation for women being underrepresented in games is purely social, but I still it'd be beneficial for all concerned to have more women making games.
If you go on a blind date with a female indie game designer, you have a 50% chance of ending with a dick in your a**
Lol'd heartily. Thank you, sir.
and the more games get made that aren't outright male wankfests
So celebrating things that appeal to men is mastabatory?
In before this turns into a thread where "all racism/sexism is actually discrimination against white people/males"
Leave the chans a while, clear your head.
