"Politically-correct, gravity-based plattformer"

So I thought I'd put a game here I developed a few months ago to get some feedback on what to improve.

Its about a black guy (literally black.) racing through a fake-random generated factory and avoiding incoming doom.

There's also a Multiplayer Mode.

For up to six players.

On one keyboard. (Online Mode is currently defunct, due to lazyness.)

(Actually, I did. And am writing up my introduction post right now. Don't hit me D:) DONE.

Hi there,

so I played the game for a couple of minutes and it is pretty nice. Not a new concept, but well done and a good fun for in-between.
The multiplayer-mode especially sounds interesting (also in regard with those temporary platforms), but because I don't have any friends I could not test it Wink

First of all, I don't like the name, the game actually has nothing to do with black and white apart from the fact that its graphics are kept in greyscale and it is not a very memorable name overall. But to be honest I don't have a better idea just now and I suck at naming games in general.

I liked the music used in the main menu, but I really disliked the music used in the actual game I found it quite annoying (but I am not a big fan of those types of music anyway).
Also the music should not restart when restarting the level, but continue playing through restarts (think SMB for example), it is easier to listen to then (you don't die very quickly in the game, but it happens and it is annoying to listen to the first 10 seconds over and over).

The invert-effect on the menus is a nice idea, but it sadly makes some text hard to read, I would suggest inverting it horizontally by menu-entry (like this for example), same effect, but easier to read.
Overall I liked the graphics very much, the spinning gears create a nice atmosphere and the sprites and backgrounds just fit in well.

The challenges could use a button to restart the level after failing it (so you don't go back to the menu immediately).

Overall nice game, good fun, especially with friends I can imagine.

May I ask what it was made in and whether you plan on releasing it for other platforms?

Whoa, almost forgot about this topic.
Uploaded a fix addressing the Music Problem and the Challenge Restart Suggestion.
This was made in Game Maker and I dont plan to port this to any other plattforms.
