Lately, whenever I don't play support, the egofest that is the rest of you nerds results in a competition amongst our own team, ensuring that we have no real chance at winning. If John isn't the one carrying, he doesn't even bother trying. If Paul isn't playing Ryze, he becomes useless. It's super annoying how nobody who plays these games seems to appreciate anything other than a high k/d ratio.  I'm probably just gonna start soloing Dota 2 or something. |

i'll play dota2 every once in a while (maybe once a month) but too many of my irl friends play league for me to want to switch
the sad part is my irl friends are pretty much all scrublords (with maybe 3 exceptions) so this makes playing with them a risky proposition (0/12 soraka someone kill me)

the dota2 thread is thataway  actually dota2 does seem good from the little i've played of it (about 3-4 games?). it's just that i don't have time to learn an entirely new moba right now, with all those new items, new champions, etc.; when i get the time i'll definitely give it an effort |

I've literally played three ranked games Paul. That's not really a good measure of ELO. I forget where I was before the wipe. Turret base damage decreased but armor penetration and damage to minions increased
meaning you no longer need flat AD runes to last hit the caster minions under tower!
and...
Summoner Heal base value reduced to 100 from 145
That's a HUGE nerf to heal lol

the ryze "nerf/buff" is strange
- his missile attack speed has nearly doubled (better for last hitting), and his animations were changed
- his q does 6.5% mana instead of 7.5% now, but has a 0.4 ap ratio instead of 0.2, and its base damage is higher. but they reduced the range of his q even more! it was already very low range, now he'll basically be the only close-range ap caster
- rune prison is a little weaker, and its duration is shorter, and it costs more mana
- spell flux now has a mana ratio, and its bouncing range was increased (it always felt very low compared to fiddle's e), and it prioritizes enemy champions over himself, but its missile speed was reduced, and its mana cost increased
- the ult's active gives movement speed -- but not even as much as, say, raise morale or move quick or bloodboil, just a tiny amount; and its passive mana bonus (which was tiny and not a big deal) was removed
i think he's the most re-worked champion in LoL, he's changed so much over the years
