there's a video of him on the youtubes. his blood rush ability looks pretty trash on it's own, but maybe it's good if you can keep it up all the time. well, the movespeed is nice but the attack speed isn't very much
he seems ok, I doubt he will be a top pick though. no escape, little utility, and very short range on his auto attacks. which is my main complaint about a lot of the ranged carries in LoL. piss poor range.

In fact, most of the Chinese splash art looks pretty bad. Like shitty anime. This rendition of Ahri has no nose. What are you doing Chinese Riot.

The game is a giant unplayable mess right now. The server issues are bad but what really kills me is the #@$#@$@ing loss of Y-axis movement on drag-scroll.
I got so used to drag-scroll that I'm on hiatus until they fix it.
According to some of the reds this patch while small on the outside is actually huge underneath and includes a new or modified database schema which means they can't really roll back at this point.
I'm surprised that there arent more threads about the lack of drag-scroll. Am I one of the few that use it?

I watched some of the Dreamhack or IPL or whatever they were playing recently.
and man I couldn't be more bored. I'm surprised they reach so many high viewer counts, when competitive LoL is about as entertaining as watching cheese mold.

No but it was fun while it lasted.

True enough. It's fun, sometimes, to play League, at least when you're doing it with some friends, but watching it is an exercise in boredom.

Patiently waiting for it to be accessible for normal mortals. I've tried to play some LoL games with a friend recently, servers kick out like 3 people per team in each match, so it's mostly a variation of 1vs1,1vs2 or 2vs2 on Summoner's Rift now.

What sort of other games do LoL fans like? I saw a talk by a LoL dev, but I know nothing about the game.
Is it just DoTA-like?

While thinking about how to respond to this I realized the actual scope of the issue here, so this will probably be long.
First, I feel like LoL is like TF2 in some ways. Not a whole lot of people take either one very seriously, but a large group of people find both games to be fun. Despite how fun either game is, when being compared to a game people feel takes more skill they laugh about how easy either one is. So this adds a bit of humor directed at the game.
Then you have Riot...where to even begin here? People that work at Riot have said some things that will forever go down in LoL history. From the lead designer saying how little he cares about originality to a balance guy talking about anti-fun mechanics. There are so many words that instantly trigger laughs in the LoL community with, "Soon™" and, "anti-fun," being the biggest examples of this. More than their words you have their actions. Taking over 2 years working on 2 stealth champion reworks, and countless other little failures really work against any progress they've made, or will ever make. Those are mere mistakes though, what of their more questionable actions? During dreamhack they replaced the spectator mode window with an ad for dreamhack. So no one could use spectator mode at all (unless you wanted to watch people on your friends list). Then they came in to patch on a day when patches never occur, this was during dreamhack. Coincidentally they had to take the game down during dreamhack due to some errors in the patch, more than half a day later they rolled the patch back entirely. All of this adds lots of humor directed at Riot.
So you have people laughing at the game, and at the company. Why would anyone stay after all that? Well I'm not sure if this has a real name but I've taken to calling it, "WoW syndrome". Because you need to grind for stats and champions people pour their time, and often money, into getting their account to a point where they can actually compete. After all that time, energy, and money being spent working on something very few would choose to throw it all away and "start over" with a new game. So despite all else the perceived "value" of people's accounts keep them chained to the game until they realize there is no reason for them to continue playing. Sadly many people never realize this and turn into those people that violently defend something. This is because they need to believe the game they spent so much time on is worthwhile.
