New topic, since the old one got into a lock war at 70 pages. Talk about everyone's favorite DotA-like here, or find people to play with. Also, use the contact info thread to find summoner names as well. For new players, I suggest taking a look at MOBAfire for lots of really helpful guides on how to get started. Feel free to ask questions too! New patch today. Alistair got nerfed slightly and Kog'Maw got a massive buff/tweak. Artillery feeding off AD gives AD Kog a nice boost to his damage range. Annie had her base damage decreased but mana costs were decreased and AP ratios were increased, so it's all good. Also, Vlad got nerfed pretty hard and the vamp on Gunblade was made to be unique.

best change is mastery pages -- it's a shame it took them like 3 years to add something so necessary
anyway, i want to announce a change to my ryze build. instead of getting a second rod of ages, i get a will of the ancients, not for the ap (which is next to useless for ryze) but for the spell vamp. because he both hits hard with spells and is tanky, spell vamp complements that very well. instead of doing about 50 more damage and having about 600 more hp (from the second rod of ages) you gain the ability to heal yourself almost instantly by hitting anything, and the ability to survive much longer in battles; it also complement's ryze's ultimate nicely, so that his ultimate now lets him have 50% spell vamp for about 8 seconds, which is a huge deal
the exact placement of when i get it i'm still working out, it's a bit contextual but typically i get the gunblade part of it after the glacial shroud and banshee's veil

you should have copied the list of user names from the old one you dotard.
get it
also this seems like a big change: The Havoc mastery now increases total physical and magic damage dealt by 4%, instead of increasing base physical and magic damage dealt by 5%
need some mathematicians to do some calcs to see if it's worthwhile going all the way down the offensive tree just for havoc.

Damn it, I havent played in two months and my sweet Koggy got buffed for my playstyle ? This is much unexpected as I consider him as very very powerful in the right hands (ie. mine).

The Tribunal is the most depressing thing I've ever participated in. Maybe I'm just too empathetic, but every time I read these games I just feel terrible. Just got done punishing a Ryze that had to take mid every game or he would feed, and a Maokai that left if he felt he was ever too good for his team. And this isn't just one game, this is the typical behavior for these two.
What's even worse is when some guy does great and then gets reported by his terrible team for getting upset that he lost an hour long game with something like 30/2/12 because his team was awful. I feel terrible for those people, and feel even worse that they are at risk of being punished for just slinging some insults at some bad players.

Okay my post got deleted but I do think it's really dumb that the old thread was locked/dromed. There was no good reason for it.

I did not lock the thread. It was 'dromed because two threads with the same name is confusing. I kept trying to unlock it, but it kept getting relocked, so I simply made a new thread. I assume it was being locked by Im9, as none of the mods really had a reason to lock it.

I've only came across 1 or 2 people that didn't totally deserve it. I just had a case where a guy was doing good but mad at his team so he cursed and belittled them and ended up going afk. I felt bad he got stuck with a shitty team, but from the chatlog it didn't seem like they were trolling. They were just bad, and he nerdraged on them. Punished, of course. Just becuase people are bad doesn't mean you have to treat them bad, even if you are super good and they are doing terrible. Unless they are trolling or intentionally doing bad, there is no reason to get angry and call them bad and flame on them. I punish every case I see someone doing that. Most cases though are people who are bad yet blaming their team, or just obviously trolling with all boots or playing AD Vlad or whatever. A lot of reports I've received are people who go afk as soon as they die one time. It's weird.

no it doesn't use the str/agi/int system. it uses an ad/ap and attack speed system. attack damage and attack speed scale per level (less on mage type champions) while ability power (for magic) doesn't scale per level and you start with 0ap and can only be acquired through buying items. with a little supplemented by runes or masteries. edit: also some characters have skills or passives that give you ap http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ability_Power
