My plan is to post some stuff every Friday, so here's some stuff.

I've been working on the indoor rooms this week.

Mock up for the living room:

Same mock with some dialogue:

Also we decided to have Frantic Panda in charge of audio for the project.
The art looks amazing, but... Please. Questions end with question marks. I'm so tired of games being full of errors like this.

I strive for immaculate grammar, but the screenshot and script are both works in progress.  I hope you can understand that typos will persist since I have been more concerned with the content of the conversation than the punctuation of it.  I welcome your scrutiny of syntax.

I know. I know. Just pointing it out, in case. It wouldn't ruin the game for me, but it would still give off a less professional look than such nice assets deserve. I tend to make errors like that, too, by mistake, but if someone were to point it out to me, I'd be thankful, and fix it up (this is more aimed towards Gabriel, than you, Fireshaw, because of his comment).

Everybody makes mistakes. So do I. I try not to, though. I'm just pointing it, just like I would love to have people point my mistakes out, so that I can fix them. It was meant to be helpful, and not to offend you (or Gabriel, for that matter).

Question mark added. also fixed the gears a bit and had them match the color scheme of the room better.

Yay.

The gears look better indeed.

It will be a little while before I can show some gameplay shots, since I've been spending all my time just finishing up these backgrounds. To keep the log active in the meantime I'll be releasing full colored final designs that I made for each character. Fireshaw suggested a fun idea that I first show a silhouetted lineup, and let you all vote on which you want to see revealed. We can have a poll each week for which character you want to see, and the character with the most votes will be shown.

So just comment with the number you want to see!

I want to see what 8 is holding.

Also, perhaps this was intentional, but I've read the best way to know your character design is good is to draw the character in silhouette. If they are recognizable even as a silhouette, then the design is most likely good.

Based on that, I'm optimistic about the character design for this game.

Thank you. I worked on each character a lot, playing with shapes, to make them all original and different from each other.

Looks like 8 might be the winner, but I'm going to wait till tomorrow to give everyone a chance to vote.

1 is neat, and so is 8. Since 8 is winning, put me down for 1.
