I thought the Cafe still had motion controls? How else would it play Wii games?

The Wii has wireless controllers. As long as you add a sensor-bar port for whatever the Cafe is, you're set for backwards-compatibility. They did the same thing with the Wii. If you wanted to play GameCube games, you plugged your GameCube controllers into the side.

The Microsoft conference was awful, Sony was moderate but I hope Nintendo blows everyone out of the water. If they announce a new Metroid for Cafe, I will piss myself in happiness. As long as it is nothing like Other M.

The title is hard to read but I believe it is "Dragon Crown" which would definitely support the Vanillaware hypothesis (perhaps a sequel to Princess Crown???) And a Vanillaware title on launch (if it happens) might prompt me to buy a system on launch day for the first time ever.

It is Vanillaware.  George Kamitani worked on Capcom's D&D beat em ups, so this is a good avenue for them.  Also, their achilles heel - level design - does not apply here so there is no reason this should not be great.  Also, look at that barbarian chick.

As for the rest, I spent all day watching the conferences and I think the thing that I liked the most was Rayman Origins, so beautiful and creative and looks really fun, specially with friends.

Curious to see how Minecraft will play with the Kinect but that's about it from Microsoft, with the exception of the Sesame Street and the Disney game that look cool for children, every other game is either doing nothing that we haven't seen before (Dance Central 2) or doing something that could be done better with the controller (Ghost Recon), come on people, you can do better than this.

Sony showed a bunch of bland stuff IMO, sure, Uncharted, Resistance, etc all looks great, but there was nothing new there.. nothing that impressed me.

Oh, and Battlefield 3 graphics are insane, but that's it.

Hopefully Nintendo has some tricks hidden for tomorrow.

There are two things I'm interested in about tomorrow's Nintendo conference: 1) whether the rumors I've heard about cloud computing between the "Current" (please do not name the console this Nintendo) and its controller are true. They probably aren't but a man can dream, and plus that would actually be something completely revolutionary for the industry unlike motion gimmicks. 2) Paper Mario 3DS. Not expecting too much from the new Zelda game because TP was complete dickwash and this one looks even more dumbed down (look here is a Wii remote covering the right half of the screen in case you forgot which button does what). Mario 3DS might be good but I don't know anymore after the blandness that was NSMBWii. Best case is Miyamoto comes out with an original IP that he's designing -- IIRC last time he was able to do that was Pikmin, and the man probably has a lot of ideas for original games which he wants to make -- but probably not.

Games that have impressed me so far are Rayman Origins, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, and Battlefield 3. Not too fond of Origins' character design but christ you can't deny the backgrounds look gorgeous.
