Any interest in an indie games IRC channel? Does anything similar exist currently? I figure, we're all up late anyway, might as well prattle along together...

Current Channel:

Server: irc.esper.net
Room: #tigIRC

Thanks, Doc!

Now with a URL:  irc://irc.esper.net/tigIRC

Thanks, papamook!

I'd definately be interested in something like this, frequenting a few IRC channels myself.

I made a test channel, if people would like to experiment with the medium.

Server: irc.afternet.org
Room: #tigIRC

Note: The server's a little weird, so I'm working on finding a new server. If anyone has any servers they frequent.

Any good (pref. free) IRC clients that allow joining two networks? I'm usually on quakenet with mirandaIM but it doesn't seem to support joining two networks...?

You *can* kludge Miranda into doing it if you have two copies of the plugin DLL in your plugin dir, but it's shit.

Me, David Williamson and Mark Foster do an Indie Games podcast. Give it a listen. And then I'll send you an apology.

If you're using Firefox, Chatzilla is a lovely little unintrusive client that you can get as an addin.

Sorry Akhel, your Internet Address (IP 201.86.244.102) is listed as being in a country which we are regulating connections from, due to abuse problems.

If you register with AfterNET.org (on their website) and then set your client to authorize on startup (they have guides on their website) you can generally bypass the spam catcher and stuff.

Give that a try.

To make things easier for everyone. We've moved to irc.esper.net!

Please see if this works for you.

Thanks!
