So we are a few months away from releasing a title we've been working on for two years called Macro. We created a bunch of "propoganda" posters for the guards that litter the game, encouraging people to join their ranks. We tried to make them funny and are hoping we can somehow pass these around the web and get some notice. Any advice on how to most effectively get these in front of people and get them interested?

The game is called Macro and some basic info about it on our very poorly maintained blog: http://voodoosoftware.net/blog/

I'd say the posters are good quality and speak for themselves. The illustrations are good.
Only advice, the fonts chosen don't seem to stick with the style of the posters themselves. If you want to go for a soviet kind of propaganda poster, you should choose something to match it. Also, use the same "torn/ruined" effects used for the illustrations.

I have to say that these posters definitely worked at getting me interested.  I could see some game websites using them for a news story, maybe you should send some emails out?

Really great promotion posters! Like Buckmaster said, they work at getting me interested. I would even have one on my wall :D

Yeah, nice. I agree on the font issue, you could make it a bit more effective.

Polish them up a tad bit (they're already excellent), develop one - five reasonable screenshots/mockups, put up a stylish webpage, write a clever and tantalizing teaser, and send out press releases to as many game sites as you can find. Most will probably be ignored, but if you hook a few then you can build up some momentum.

I hope your game is as good as your propaganda!
