it was r great. felt more restrained than his previous films, in some ways ( ending, framing device), and more over the top in others ( violence, sudden tonal shifts)

Just saw the lego movie. I liked it except a lot of the good jokes had been used up already by the trailer. If I hadn't had the trailer forced onto me a few times already I would have had nothing but positives

Finally watched K-PAX, definitely my kind of movie, although I never enjoy watching Jeff Bridges without a beard.

it's a documentary with non-stop archive footage of famous violent crimes.

Waiting for Godot It's not even a nice shade of green.
Con Air So I haven't actually seen any Nicolas Cage movie (apart from National Treasure which I have apparently seen but can't recall a single thing about) and they were having a Nicolas Cage week on TV. Unfortunately, The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans aired in the middle of the night so I missed it and this would have to do instead. Not exactly an upgrade, I would presume (and hope; after all, Bad Lieutenant is a Herzog film so I'm going to have to watch it at some point).
東京物語 [Tokyo Story] It's good but not the masterpiece I imagined from all the praise.
The Grand Budapest Hotel I though it was pretty nice but certainly not fantastic.
ParaNorman Good looking animation but everything else is lacking. Pretty much every joke fell flat on me.
Soy Cuba [I Am Cuba] The english voice acting is soooo bad. Sound in general I thought was kinda shoddy. Everything else about this is fantastic, though.
Trois couleurs: Bleu [Three Colours: Blue] Another Kieslowski film I don't really have anything to say about. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I liked it so I'm going to go with good.
박하사탕 [Peppermint Candy] Alternative title: The Reverse Life of the World's Greatest Asshole.
Gravity Pretty much what I expected. ... Get it? Pretty? Cause it's pretty, but substanceless?
Une histoire d'eau [A Story of Water] Boring. (Or maybe it was just that I could only find it with German subtitles and my German is quite rusty so I was preoccupied with reading subtitles rather than watching what was going on on-screen. I'm gonna go with boring, though.)
Witch's Cradle So much unfinished potential. Some really cool ideas and effects but they can't make up for the fact that it's all unfinished.

Captain Murica 2 Better than the first one IMO The captain remains a blank characterless character and the plot was once again fart
But the pew pew pew was top notch and it didn't feel like a 2 hour movie I like that it had more scarlett johansson in it

Has anyone seen 300 2? I didn't care for the comic book but I watched the original 300 in a cinema three times because it was the most visually and acoustically pleasing experience I ever had watching a movie. So I'm curious if the sequel is on par in that regard.

Watched "Modern Life" (Charlie Chaplin).
His humor is truly timeless. I actually laughed at this quite a lot. Silly but still.

At this point no one can give you any cinematographic advice, because you went and watched dogshit three time in the cinema, so you can watch literally anything now. You have reached the singularity

I honestly dunno where the hate on this movie comes from, unless being a two-hour long music video is a bad thing.
