I've just read this article on Michael Abbott's blog and it justlooks amazing. Here a little piece of excerpt:

Quote
They describe a theatrical production called Sleep No More, a fully-realized convergence of live theater and real-time non-linear multiplayer horror-adventure game. [...] Sleep No More is an “immersion theatre” event in which audiences are free to roam, explore, and investigate (almost nothing is off-limits) a vast space that includes 100 rooms spread over 6 floors of a transformed abandoned warehouse in Chelsea, NYC. Scenes and apparently spontaneous situations unfold throughout the building as 21 actors move from one stylized location to another, and each room is filled with period artifacts related to the story. The production's director, Felix Barrett, puts it this way: “In our world, every single drawer, cupboard, wardrobe that can be opened, should be opened because you’ll find something inside.

Here are some pics of the event (spectators/players wear masks, the actor/NPC have none)

My question is: is there anyone who has already see it? It's currently playing in a old warehous in Chelsea, NYC. This intrigued me a lot...

Very interesting. I'm not into horror games (and especially not movies) too much, because they're usually more of a gory than exciting nature, and I don't really see how any sane person could enjoy seeing that stuff, but I guess this is not the case here. It seems to be more about excitement (in a partially frightening kind of way), which I would approve of a lot more. Maybe I would even go if I had the opportunity, but alas, I live in Sweden.

That actually sounds really cool. I just hope there's enough "spontaneous situations" so that no one manages to miss all of the exciting events.

Well, from the review I have read on the web everything is happening during a live session. There is so much to explore and to investigate that you participate in two consecutive session and find new clues/elements to understand the whole piece. It doesn't mean they change element between session, it's just there is a lot of things to see in a limited period of time so you may miss many details or event during your first exploration for instance.

As you said Skomakar'n, I wish to have the opportunity to go there, but I live in France...

The idea of the spectators wearing masks is good, they look like spirits or sthg, the effect must be interesting.

I'm a little closer than you guys, but still so far away. I live on the west side of the US, and going to New York is just not in the picture.

I love this idea though, it looks really fascinating.
