Yet more network backend work this weekend.  Getting close to something usable, I swear!

Gosh, I really hoped to further along this weekend, but no luck.

I very nearly have LAN game setup and detection running, but not quite there yet.

Got LAN game detection working, just about ready to move on to the game proper.

Add me to the list of people that love the concept. Did you ever play the multiplayer boardgame version?

I remember I was really excited as a kid when I first got it, but it was really hard to get an even match going... it becomes unbalanced very quickly as someone would always gang up on player 3 (typically my younger brother) while the 4th hangs back and then swoops in when everybody else is weakened. I guess it just goes to show waging war on multiple fronts is hard!

I think it'll work much better as an online video game with the anonymity of the internet, and if you're the first to get knocked out you don't have to wait around and can just go find a new game.

Still, I can see it being a big design challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with!!  Well, hello there!

I've seen that version before, but sadly never got the chance to play it.  I did however have this:

Which helped inspire the way I'm approaching things.

Got some more of the LAN game detection stuff fleshed out, had a few threading deadlocks that I've resolved and I'm ready to start moving forward on the main game window.

I'm awfully busy next Saturday, so I probably won't get much more than a basic layout done next weekend.

Saturday was a day filled with awesome board gaming so I didn't get much done this weekend.

I did manage to get started on the main game window, so that's nice.

Lost another Saturday because I ran a half-marathon and then basically crashed the rest of the day.  I did manage to get some work done on the various screen widgets I need for the main game window, so not all was lost.

I was actually quite lazy this weekend, entirely my own fault.  I did however manage to get my user list widget finished up, which proved to be much more difficult than I had anticipated.

Not much done this weekend either (I need to snap out of this!)  Working on some server infrastructure stuff.  Getting to close being able to negotiate all the connections and what not.

Haven't posted on this for awhile, been really busy with work and stuff.

I've found some time to work on this lately, and I've gotten far enough to negotiate LAN connections and get message passing established.
