I put up the photos on Google+. You think I'd keep these gems to myself?

Also, how did Needy Bankers turn out?

Ironed out all the bugs in the gem-merging code yesterday, maybe going to start making levels on the train. Will post when there is gameplay.

Can't wait!  Grin

EDIT: Just put up a write-up of the event. Please let me know if I've spelt your names wrong, got your identities mixed up, or linked to the wrong pages!

BugsNThings, a superquick arcade game of ants, bears and exploding cherries:

Play here

And here's an action shot of Reels of Steel, a game I spent most of the weekend on with Adam Vian:

You'll have to wait a bit while we finish this one off though Smiley

Ooh, I like BugsNThings! I hadn't had a go at that one during the jam! I like the risk/reward mechanics in play. The trail of juice means you really have to be careful of the enemies when you're grabbing the cherries. And also the explosions of the cherries means you have to be careful of your timing. Simple, neat and elegant stuff Smiley

Can't wait for the finished version of magnetic fishing!

Also, does anyone know Paul's surname and a link to his website? I mention him in my article, and I'd like to add a link to his work.

 Grin Cool, thanks Ali.

Here's a picture of that game, my third stab at a theme (rhythm-action box unpacking game), and what I spent most of Saturday and Sunday on. "120 BPM" or "Boxes per Minute"

I just have to polish a wee bit and make another half dozen or so levels (plus drum patterns, n bass lines D: ), which I'll do over the next few evenings, then I'll post a link/upload! I just hope the rough durty bass and drums aren't offputting to everyone. Cheesy

Twas a bloody fun/inspiring/great weekend with loads of cool, interesting, friendly indies and I'm definitely down for it next time if I can make it. Thanks to Stephen, Terry, Alan and everyone for all the organizating. :CB2coffee:

Reels of Steel looks amazing, I mean visually. It's a fishing game so it defaults to amazing on all other counts.

Also the name is fantastic.

Needy Bankers is not playable yet, but I have a much better idea about the gameplay now, and Ash has been working on graphics.
