I'm loving the tall one! You might need to work a little more on the face, though, to add a bit more personality, like rivon said! Excellent work.

Short one is probably a bit easier to animate & work with generally ... I like the tall one more though.

I reckon a 16px grid would fit that guy well. Since it's smaller, it'll let you put more detail in, and that's always nice.

How does that work?

Perhaps Twitch means that 16px are smaller, so more of them will fit on screen, meaning more detail on screen.

I think the little guy would work well if the game involves lots of jumping (platformer). The tall guy will work well if the game is mostly side scrolling (Beat'em-up / Shoot'em-up)
