But the art in Solatorobo looks closer to the kind of "furry" art you see on the interweb than Starfox.

mmmm all those sonic, starfox, disney fan art are indeed furry... However if there wasn't them there would be no furry movement. You just don't want to attach a shameful name to thing you appreciate, it's like saying farmville player are not video games, more like an identification move than a rational.

I don't really like Sonic (sorry Sad) and I don't think I've ever actually seen Robin Hood. Starfox 64 is a great game though and the original is pretty godd as well.

But idk it still seems wrong to call everything that contains anthropomorphic characters "furry" just because there's a furry subculture inspired by these things. By your logic, Harry Potter would be porn because there are people writing pornographic Harry Potter fanfics on the interweb.

Why you would need to be sorry for liking sonic? Huh?

But the definition of a furry is anthro animal (fur as in furry), the definition of porn is not young magician with a fate!

The Furry subculture is like the video games subculture, he inherit the name of his object of attention. The shame the name furry attract is what people want to distance themselves. I didn't know about Furry until very late (thx internet) and what struck me is that the stigma the community attract is exactly the same as superheroes comics or video games subculture (or geek or nerd), the same miscategorization base on visible minority tropes that all these subculture are identify for. You know virgin in a basement, asocial chimp or deviant pornographer. I had done some research on this culture to know what it was about and yep, it's pretty much the same parallel as video games, cosplay and the pornographer have the same stigma as young COD player saying profanity all other the mic. All subculture are really structured the same.

that's not the definition of furry (sorry Sad)

a furry is someone who likes anthropomorphic animals, not the anthrophormorphic animals themselves

that's like saying the definition of "a fisherman" is "a fish"

http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Furry

sorry Sad I use THEIR definition, I didn't know they were wrong as people outside the culture should obviously know better than them Wink

That's why the like of Erbert and Al Gore are telling us what game is Huh?

The sorry was a joke because Gilbert is a Sonic fan and I was responding to him ffs

The questions is can you be a "furry" w/o being part of the furry subculture? The wiki article seems vague about that.

I'm curious as to what you were trying to say here, not that I particularly care about this discussion, just out of human interest.

I'm finding it highly probable that you just throw non-sequiturs in as a joke since it's pretty hard to understand you anyway.

He's referring to Harry Potter.

I said if Sonic was "furry" because it's liked by the furry fandom then Harry Potter would have to be porn because people write pornographic Harry Potter fanfics.

usually when used on the internet, the word furry refers to the people who like anthropomorphic animals, not to the animals themselves. for this reason a definition on the furry wiki is overruled by common usage

here's urban dictionary, too:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=furry

Quote
Possibly the strangest sub-culture in all of geekdom. Furries range from being harmless fans fascinated by anthropomorphic characters and animals, to immensely withdrawn or self-abosrbed persons who actually believe, or want to believe, they're eagle-winged fox-like versions of themselves with giant gentalia who wouldn't dare be anything else that could be considered mundane. Furries defy any coventional or unifying definition.

Jody's favorite book is Redwall. She must be a furry.

If somebody created a Megaman Legends 3 fangame I would play the hell out of it. Even if it was just a hack of the MML1 or 2 ROM I'd be down with it.

What I wonder, does Capcom actually know what happens next, or are they still making it up as they go along? I suspect MML2 ended with a cliffhanger and nobody on the team had really decided what comes next.

When there's no script, you can't make a sequel off script.

typically they write it out all ahead of time. for instance, i believe the stories to the three star wars prequel movies were written even before the first original star wars movie came out in the 70s. similarly rowling had outlined the entire 7 harry potter books before she published the first book.

generally do not happen in game, they retcon base on gameplay ambition and opportunities, sometimes that lead to mess and plot hole (resident evil, zelda, mass effect, almost all video games series, i can't seem to find some that escape that).
