Hi, we are planning to start our own gaming company. We right now are throwing around ideas to start off. We are currently in a technical school learning programming. We have a group that games 24/7 so we know that listening to the community is the best. We are throwing around ideas for our first game so any ideas or help would be appreciated. Hope to post more information soon.

Hi Soul,

If possible make a graphical game or mmo using zombiemud game mechanics with player mines and crafting weapons/armor.

Probably what might work is a 2d tiled game with overhead view, I like those games, oh and make it pvp focused.

If you simply make 2 character tiles, give them hp mp and a few weapons, players can fight on a basic 2d landscape and you can gradually add more variety in armor, weapons.

The landscape doesn't have to be complex, just big square of green with few different tiles, make focus of it on player v player interaction.

That's my suggestion anyway,

or 2d tile mmo based on master of magic game mechanics, but without the armies, just players forming up and fighting each other.

So 2d tile game, overhead view, keep it very simple and make the whole focus pvp. if you want spell ideas, check out the text based mmo called zombiemud. The game mechanics there are quite interesting. spells, skills, crafting, guilds.

Cheers,

John Urquhart
