In case of, I'm not making fun of phubans at all, but really looking at the state of his wish.
Yep I went a bit overboard with the visual influence sheet.

xenoblade also has an hd UI which makes it almost impossible to read the text on an sdtv
aaaanyway, just started playing this game. not much to say yet other than i really like the gfx! they sure look a lot less garish on my tv than they do in the screenshots and trailers.

Oh christ I hate this type of games, where you spend half your energy fighting with the camera and controls, wander in artificially constrained 3D levels, endure tons of dialogs, etc.. Where's the game in that? I might as well be watching a movie

It's the beginning, nearly the slow tut to give you background and introducing gameplay element. Look carefully and you it thread all the basics of gameplay without any pressure. Notice it's a wii game on PC, control will suffer by definition (no wiimote but macro) I hope you don't play skyrim or any rpg at all

I am getting this game on Sunday and have seen no videos or heard no music. Just read some good reviews, saw a few screenshots, and had some spare cash, so I am not sure how excited I should be.

Speaking of which, so far motion controls work ok but are pretty unimpressive. It's mostly the standard waggle stuff. I don't feel the combat would lose much if it was just button presses.

How far are you? Can't say don't have my preorder @moi zelda are pretty unlike most follower in that department, you should be more precise. And it's not an RPG, text and story is generally de emphasized after the "intro" (aside from small choke point).

The combat is definatley slightly harder (from what I played so far) But I don't see how the motion controls are a plus yet... Famil I was in the same position. I am a fan of the Zelda games but hadn't really read much or seen many videos. Id say Im quite happy with it so far though A lot of cutscenes/dialogue mind.

I'm hoping Skyward Sword's motion controls will add more immersion like TP's waggle stuff did. Felt really weird going from waggling to buttons (replaying MM after TP), felt less in control. Guess you only notice when you actually get to compare them within minutes of each other, rather than years.
