He says there is a problem with the motherboard and they have to replace it. The last time his PC broke he also said there was a problem with the motherboard. What are the odds of replacing a faulty motherboard and getting another faulty one?

Heh, I have seen a >50% failure rate with asus boards. Over about ~400 motherboards for 3 years. I used to think Asus was good too.

I've never had a motherboard fail on me, and I always buy super cheap ones. But I've had like a billion power supplies blow up.
