Alright, that's it. Who are you and what retard planet do you come from?
I'm not arguing that matrix quake was better before realismsmsmization, rather, I can't understand how you liked it AT ALL. Fuck, is EVERYONE on here sarcastic?
Because in the brief window that it was at its awesomest matrixq2 was a hell of a lot of fun. It fit the q2dm* maps really well and gave them new life. You have to remember the dominant q2 mods were actionquake and weapons factory. Matrix was a huge step outside either of those and it rocked. I know its your trademark, but overthinking can really be a detriment. Sometimes you just need to pick up your guitar and play the three chords you know, because maybe you'll be the Ramones. edit: Oh, and also, is your avatar flossing his crotch with ladybugs?

Yeah, the video looks pretty cool If I ever have some free time I think I might check it out. Wouldn't happen to be a fan translation anywhere? Actually you can play without a fan translation the game is really simple. The only thing that you need to know is at the beggining you have to press the button "A" at the same pace as the little red note and with the count down you have to press when it hits zero. This ia little out of topic but it'll help you.

Yeah, there was definately too much guff in the second Matrix, (but plenty of problems with the earlier ones, too). Doing it definately taught me to covet elegance in design. However, if I overthink things, it's only in the hope that I can learn to play 5 chords as intuitively as 3. edit: Oh, and also, is your avatar flossing his crotch with ladybugs?
No, he's having a wank.

This gives credence to my idea that indie game development is a very insular hobby with a small community.

(Moving slowly to the topic...) I never tried Gears of War or any Wii games - I suppose those could be worth checking.

AeroStyle certainly follows the "people have never played" part. It's a simple japanese stress reliever where you fly and shoot enemy planes while doing two kinds of acrobatic tricks. I really liked it a few years ago because it was the first game with aeroplanes ("simulator") which didn't bore me. EDIT: Oh, I remember some other: BlockoFighter, Heroes, MultiHero and Tappo Tactics are lots of fun in multiplayer. It seems that only singleplayer games get attention nowadays...

One game I really enjoyed was Kingdom Elemental http://www.chroniclogic.com/index.htm?ke.htm. All design, art, and programming was done by one game and it really was a labor of love. It hasn't seem to have caught a lot of traction anywhere and coverage has been minimal. That said it should appeal to anyone who's played any WoW. It's basically the real time tactical version of WoW where you actually issue commands for the whole raid instead of just your character.

Did anyone play Golden Axe Warrior (Zelda 1 clone) for SEGA Master System?
I thought Zillion (Impossible Mission clone) was kind of weak, but it had some charm too.
