I liked the trash game concept, seems simple enough that it doesn't need anything more. Although there certianly could be more stuff to add to it ..

It is called SQUARENUMB and has a kinda weird scoring system.

Trash has been the best brain fart so far. The last one was also fun, may be one can learn about how two player mechanics affect the play in this one.

Yep, 21 is the highest score.
Since lower numbers are more point/space efficient, you want to start with the lower ones and work your way up. (Not actually in game, just when figuring out the best score.)
There are 99 blocks (11*9), so counting straight up from 1, you get 123456 (21 points and 91 blocks) before running out of room. There aren't enough blocks to go up one point to 123457 (22 points and 104 blocks) so 21 is the max.
If you put down a single group of 8 as well you can get 21 points with a full grid. (it'd take a lot more luck though)

I was, too! But then...
Dec 26: I started (but did not finish) a roguelike with ptoing
Dec 27: I started (but did not finish) some stuff
Dec 28 onwards: OOOOoooops
I got four out of nine. Not... the best, but I was going for something insane anyhow! Nine non-platformers in "nine" days, subconsciously avoiding genre repetition? I'm proud to have got as far as I did (i.e. almost halfway)! heh.
I'll do this again sometime! Don't worry.
For now, I'm hoping to do onegameamonth.com and make some really good stuff! good luck, me

Still pretty good. Also I love the balloon metroidvania you made a long time ago. Make more stuff like that. |
