It's a fighting game made in GameMaker.
I am streaming me making it live occasionally, and I will edit the thread title to show when I'm on/offline to avoid confusion.

Here's the current demo.

Also credit to ChevyRay for his surface tutorial I used to make it scale well.

I currently have a two hit punch combo, kicking, jumping, moving, turning around, and getting hit implemented. I also have a test enemy that can get knocked around and has a manually enabled attack.

Here's the current demo.

Arrows to move, Z/X/C to attack. R resets the sandbags position, S makes the sandbag attack.

Most stuff is placeholder.

EDIT: Demo updated to version 2 to fix punch combo bug

Unfortunately I have no sort of schedule so it's just really whenever I feel like working on the game. I might even start again in a few hours if I get some ideas of what to do and how to do it.

Fortunately, I messed around with some streaming stuff and got some pretty good quality, so when I do stream next it will look nice.

I feel like my streaming at random times in the middle of the night might not be the best idea for acquiring viewers. (Sorry Inanimate!) However, it is usually when I program, so I'll just have to suffer with it.

To make up for this I feel like I should start making this more like a normal devlog, with updates and stuff. I will start making a post with a changelog and new demo after I finish streaming from now on.

In this current session I plan on implementing a buffer system and a second player, as well as anything else I think of at the time. I will however mess around until I get at least 1 viewer because streaming programming while no one is watching feels like a waste. Having an account would be nice too, because it's nice to be able to talk to my viewers.

EDIT: No one joined and I only added a small buffer system that lets you press an attack key while you are in cooldown between attacks.

Alright, let's do this thing.

It's time for the better timed stream extravaganza!
Featuring:
  • Reasonable time of day!
  • Programming!
  • Maybe viewers?

Anyway I've ran out of stuff to say so

I added AI, a better buffer system, and the ability to press 'down, forward, punch' to shoot your projectile. You can now win or lose. The AI is pretty tough, and he doesn't cheat either. (He has a different character, but his character is mostly worse)

Unfortunately you just missed the last one and I don't have a regular schedule. I'll try to get one in the next couple days though.

Doing some more streaming. Not for this game however, but for this!

My basic idea right now is kinda like that one freddiew video but with mechs.

EDIT: Got a cool mech and it can fly and shoot. I'll probably make a separate devlog later.
