Also WTF is going on with animations? Monk wielding weapons hide them when he attacks, Wizard wielding wand and shield casts spells with shield-wielding hand?
Reminds me of WoW, weapons are just there for the stats  |

Their forum guy tries talking about that here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4253973263?page=16#314 we still have plans to make even more changes and improvements in patches released fairly shortly after release. In a patch we plan to change Exploding Palm, Way of the Hundred Fists, and Fists of Thunder so they don’t hide fist weapons. |

It's insane how you pay out the ass for games developers will "patch later". I mean with some things it is understandable, especially for PC games spanning a wide range of system configurations, unpredictable issues are bound to creep up. However, some of the things developers let slide to either rush their products out or just never bothered to fix at all are ridiculous. It'd be like eating at a restaurant where the chef isn't sure if the food is cooked all the way but he just sends it out to the customer anyways figuring if they complain then he'll just toss it in the microwave and if they don't then it's not a problem. Those abilities sound just soooo wrooong
Monks have a lot of time on their hands. |

im totally fine with it if the issues are actually likely to be patched which im pretty sure is the case with blizz who have always had excellent support for their games post-release. and its not like a few wrong animations ruin the game or anything. i wouldn't even have noticed them if it wasn't for this thread. |

Well, I finally purchased D3 and rolled a Witch Doctor as planned. It seems like they've solved most of their server problems since I haven't had any issues with logging in or staying in yet.
Now I just need to get past Grandma Difficulty so I can start to have fun.

Yeah, Nightmare is were you start dying. I didn't die even once on Normal, but some rares with fire chain or lazors are killing my Barb all the time and I'm still in Act I  I also started Wizard and she is quite fun so far, Monk is the only one I haven't completed Act I Normal now, I will probably do it later that week. And I run Diablo with some random folks on public game, it was pleasant experience, no griefing, we dominated him/her in a moment. |

Anyone know what a Guest Pass entails? I'm waiting for one from a guy I work with, which is nice since I'd like to see more of the game than what was in the 24 hr stress test but I just got back from vacation and don't have the cash to buy it.

Its the exact same content as the stress test, but you can only play with other guest passers and not people who OWN the game.

Yep Guess Pass has level limit 13 and can only play till first boss (Skeleton King). If you upgrade to full version, you keep your characters, items etc.

Ha ha. That's the worst bit of the game!
Although Act 2 dragged on a bit. Not quite as fun as Act 2 in D2 with the desert, palace, arcane sanctuary, viper temple, canyon, etc.

You don't unlock the gold-hoover ferrets until some ridiculously high level. You can have a ferret pet in Torchlight 2 however:  |
