the post is not only bad it's outright wrong and expects way too much of diablo 3.
it's pretty much the ultimate in entitlement forum posts

Yeah no one here seems to have really expected the game to be art, groundbreaking, or anything mindblowing. It's pretty meat and potatoes stuff, and there has been a lot of positive about it upthread.
It's almost as if you're posting silly inflammatory stuff in lieu of actual discussion, and then wanting to disregard everyone who disagrees with it, or counters the points made, solely because they aren't, themselves, superfans of the game.
For real dude, if you don't like the game that's fine but calling people who do enjoy it whiny or whatever is sort of kid stuff. As I stated prior, it sucks you bought a game you don't like but at this point you're working hard on making yourself hate it more, which is actually making your wasted purchase even dumber.

Picked up Diablo 3 at the shelf, saw it was always on internet for singleplayer. Put it back down. That said, that dudes Blizzard post was really overdone good god.

entitlement
i agree the post is stupid but ugh it's like the people complaining about how inferno is too hard it's a difficulty literally made for crazy people of course it's almost impossible that's what i mean by entitlement: people seem to feel entitled to get a game that was never there (that dude's forum post) or that they should be able to finish everything in the game within two weeks. inferno will probably get toned down though. i remember when people in beta rejoiced that blizzard was making inferno MORE ridiculous, hah.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149180916#15We purposely launched the game with Inferno being far more difficult than what we were able to progress in ourselves, assuming people would find it as difficult but with a few skilled players able to pull it off, or the difficulty would simply help root out problem skills and builds that allowed flaw-filled progression possibilities.
In so many other words: We weren't able to test it(inferno difficulty) fully ourselves, but we just left it this way to get the game out the door... We thought players would be good enough to beat it and test it for us. We're also using it as a "balance playground"-- finding skills that are actually able to help in inferno and nerfing them. If you don't always die in one hit from a trash mob, something is wrong. Start grinding hell mode Whimseyshire for appropriate gear for about four months. out of context, but nevertheless-- more fail goodness on Blizzard's part: The intent was to use your Blacksmith to fill those itemization gaps that can happen due to the randomized drops. The issue is the Blacksmith compared to the AH is just not worth spending gold to level up right now. It's something we're aware of.

I expect the BS will change so that you can choose an enchantment you want and it will give you a range. For example, on a magic chest, +11-30 str, +11-30 vit, +socket. That way they can preserve the random aspect of it without rendering the BS completely useless (he's pretty much only there to dump gold into)

The smith is pretty much a huge money sink compared to just buying what you want from the AH. Even if you have the resources (essences, rare goodies, pages, and tome), and money (I think it's at least 100k for a level 60 rare), if it takes you 10 tries to get something 'good' you've already spent as much as it would've taken to get something 'great' from the AH. Not even counting the money you use to upgrade the dude to that level.
So we'll see how they tweak it.

This thread just reminds me the sad truth is that I will never get a "The Lost Vikings 3" from Blizzard.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure the didn't test Hell in D2. Broke as shit. Personally I'm of the mind that I have to be able to complete my own game, which doesn't say much about my games because I'm not the greatest game player. But at least I know the player doesn't have to use an exploit.

They were gonna let the Gem Guy socket stuff but they decided against it for sort of understandable but dumb reasons.
