It was obviously there, they made a preview video of the game that forum post is asking for? They made a video saying "here, this is what the game will be", and the guy is complaining because that wasn't the game they gave? PROTIP: Don't trust previews. The goal of game previews is to generate hype, not "inform" and almost all of them use the same trick: They imply that what they're showing is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg and let the viewers fill in the gaps, so they end up imagining a game that never existed in the first place (i.e what Dragonmaw said). I guess that's what happened with the guy in the forum post Castle linked to.

I'm enjoying Diablo 3 a lot. It's a click-fest item/level grind, but that's what I wanted. It's a fun game you can play with your friends when you want to relax on Skype and just talk about stuff while hacking apart enemies.

Yeah, as stated in different ways, it's nowhere near approaching anything remotely like a solo, immersive experience. If you don't have friends who are playing it, you'll either need to make some or hate the game. If you do have friends playing it, and you all have Skype or similar, it's a decent way to kill a night.

It must be some build-in punishment, I didn't play for few days and when I came back I was also stuck on that. It work after a minute though.

Enjoyed Act II much more than Act I. Better monsters, loot, skills, everything! Oh, and the desert graphics are quite nice.
BTW, what followers are you guys using? I'm a wizard with the templar (Heal, Loyalty, Charge, Guardian).

I use Templar with same skills exclusively for every character I play, considering that follower's damage is almost non-existing, the survivability it gives (2 heals, increased regen and occasional aoe stun) is vast superior to other companions' skills.

I use the Scoundrel for my Witch Doctor and I can reliably get him up to around 30-50% of my own DPS, which I feel is a significant boost to my overall damage. For his items, I basically stack dexterity on everything. Followers gain a x2.5 multiplier on their stats from items, so it's pretty easy to turn them into good fighters if you try to do so. They still won't do as much damage as a hero would, but they can help out.
Also, here's a tip for Hardcore players: When you reach Nightmare or Hell, do the Fallen Star quest a few dozen times. The Old Tristram Road area contains no elite monsters, the boss is really easy and the reward is a significant amount of experience. You can easily overlevel your character that way and then the rest of the game becomes a lot more comfortable.

Did you ever die to Azmodan's laser? I'm wondering if that thing is supposed to one-shot you or if I was just under-powered. Nothing else in the game did that much damage to me all at once.
Sucks, I was hoping to take my hardcore dude at least through Normal.
EDIT: I looked online, and it doesn't seem like the laser is giving other people much trouble. It looks like it's pretty slow, too. I must have gotten unlucky and ended up running right along its path for a few moments or something and it cooked me.

I didn't even know he had a laser, I'm just aware of his corpse rain, giant red ball, and black hole attacks.
