If you're into electronics, programming or really hard puzzle games then click --> http://gamejolt.com/freeware/games/wiretune-world/download/6030/

Any suggestions are much appreciated  Ninja

EDIT: for some odd reason it won't work on linux. I'll investigate and solve the problem asap

EDIT2: misleading descriptions and one typo fixed, still don't know why it won't work on linux Sad

Looks very nice!

I tried to load it in Ubuntu, but got this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
   at wireworld.Audio.load(Audio.java:35)
   at wireworld.Fullscreen.<init>(Fullscreen.java:383)
   at wireworld.Main.main(Main.java:7)

I'm trying it in MacOS (Snow Leopard) and after calling it with

java -jar WiretuneWorld.jar

nothing happens. No error, nothing. It just stays there...

hmm, i could run it I just didn't understand how to play it :/

I think the first level should be made super obvious with instructions how to solve it.. just so you can get the idea of what to do

I spent a few minutes not really getting anywhere trying to figure out how to make basic logic gates.  So I just replicated the structures in your instruction images to see how they acted.  I ended up with OR, XOR, and I guess a diode.  This got me through the first four levels.

The description for 5 is "receive a signal when only one emitter sends a signal" but the game wants me to receive a signal when 1 or 3 emitters are active.  The description for 4 is "receive a signal when either emit signals" but it needs a "but not both" because you're really asking for XOR.

At this point I stopped because of three main issues:

1.  Having to delay your signals to match the goal is really, really weird and confusing.  It also hinders the next issue.

2.  It's really annoying to just try to test out things.  I messed around in the editor to try to get a better grasp of the mechanics, but it's all pretty clunky and requires a lot of clicking to try out things.

3.  When the goal descriptions are bad, it's a really big demotivator/disincentive.

I agree it needs more tutorial; it took me quite a while to figure out how it works.

Also, because of the randomisation of the inputs on levels like the XOR gate, you can sometimes get it to report as solved with e.g. an OR gate because it doesn't necessarily test all permutations.
