The best opening for the season and one of the most interesting
It's about a magician girl with some giant riffle sniper gun and a dude wich is professionnally poor (never get job and all , reminds me someone)
It's good and chaika is great haha


The drawing are cool , the designs are somewhat average but it goes well with the universe
The 2d animation is great and welcomed by some really nice touches (the blood animation , the sword movment etc)

The animation and drawings are the weak one but the background are great , very detailled and lighty

Akuma seems good , a yuri anime where the heroine must kill her target
I expect giant twist and all but for now the riddle is unknow to me , i didnt got all the scenario from this point

i watched sword art online in 2x speed on youtube html5. i suppose it was a solid shounen series. Not really worth watching.

Started watching jojo 2011, would recommend.

Neither the gf nor I could empathize with any of the characters in Garden of Words. It was pretty to look at but are we supposed to be rooting for statutory rape? It was cougarcreepy. Even in japan the age of consent is 16, not 15.

Nothing jumps out as amazing so far and I think I might be getting tired of anime, but there seems to be a few watchable things anyway.

No Game No Life's fanservice hardly qualifies - I can accept a pantyshot if it's caused as a natural reaction to falling from a great height while wearing a skirt (without the situation being specifically manufactured just in order to create the circumstances for which a pantyshot to occur, but this was totally plot-relevant). Didn't really notice anything else.
Black Bullet on the other hand - creepy.

Also it lacked inspiration and really cool new ideas (okay the plot twist with the room was kinda "yeahhh" but come on)

And the ending , i mean WTF the design of the ennemy (i wont say more)
I was raging at the credits rolling

I mean it wasnt Ghost in the shell at all to me

The second episode was much much much better , a good action, good intensity and nice ending twist shit , i enjoyed it and the new character was good
it was funny to see the major kick ass  the other member of her crew hahaha


And the art by the way was bad , i dont like it
In the second i kinda was usued to it but the first episode almost turned me off

@Jackwhat - mm, yeah, okay. I'm starting to think I'm a bit blind when it comes to fanservice - only the very obvious or very creepy seems to register. I didn't notice that one when watching the actual episode.

Getting around to finishing off Space Dandy, episode 11 was pretty interesting with the alien that made you forget you found it but that quality drop was pretty bad.

Although, I kinda agree, each scene in a Kill La Kill episode is amazing in itself, but the overall pacing and plot isn't that great.
The difference is that what they do really demands lots of talent, whereas anyone with a brain and money can do films like Michael Bay.

Well I'm not fond of Micheal bay But I would not say they don't ask for talent, it's a very specific kind of talent that does not suit our taste. I'm not bashing Micheal here. Both use scenario cliché to string set pieces after ste pieces, there is nothing truly original in kill la kill as anything "new" is just puntastic showcase. By episode 3 I figure out all the twists, and even the design is heavily lift from 70s anime and previous work down to similar scene (bikes).

To contrast, GITS ep 01 revisit it's own tropes ("brain hacks" with false memories) with a different perspective and similar scene takes on new meaning (Aramaki asking Kusanagi if she remember the name of her surrogate mother) It's brilliant how the montage of the episode allow to experience almost first person what's its like to be brainjacked, something that hasn't been done before. The second episode was a marionetist drop off, after what stand alone complex did with this concept it's a really low arc they have, the only great point was batou in the finale scenes and his relation to these false memories. Still so far the common theme is false memories and how it affect belief, identity and behavior.
