Why do people keep comparing this to Evangelion?  It's just got a meaningless reference at one point.

That's the joke (also because of shinji masturbating to catatonic asuka in the end of evangelion, shinji was one hell of a teenage boy troubled by women, also the end when asuka reject him).

I'm personally going on:

- Evangelion figurines at start.
- Which come to life animated later.
- Females from Evangelion as subject of interest for main character.
- Eyes on mask motif.
- Loner main character.
- Body horror.
- Bubbling.
- Transformation into something that is practically an Eva.

And most of all:

- Overall meaning is borderline incomprehensible, subject to multiple interpretations, and a bit of a mind-screw. Wink

I'm going from memory, as it is a bit reluctant to play on my PC. There may be more. I figured it was close enough to make a quick joke.

...

The female sexuality thing is an interesting interpretation.

IT's a common motif in "edgy" art, after a while you just spot it but the first time you are like is this true, less so the hundredth time.

Take the lyrics into consideration and it's pretty straightforward.  Guy meets girl, they fall in love, guy starts watching porn, it takes over his life, girl leaves him.  Now, whenever he watches porn he sees the girl and is torn apart.  It's a beautiful animation and the metaphors are spot-on but throw anything Eva into the mix and people suddenly think it's got some kind of hidden meaning.

Origin
On November 17th, 2014, a preview of the animated music video for Teddyloid’s “ME!ME!ME!

To be frank the eva stuff is in part because of the origin, even if it's tangential.

I agree, it's pretty understandable that Studio Khara would want to put something Eva-related in it, and it's fitting.  But it's not significant.

Anime on tv

anime on blu ray

I barely notice the correction at all ...

I'm sorry but this trend of making correction for the BD release is going out of hand

Both versions are pretty incredible examples of the same-face syndrome. What show is this?

Still watching Gosick, it's pretty funny to watch a murder mystery anime that has something called the wellspring of wisdom for why Victorique can work out the crimes instead of just calling it powers of deduction or something.

Been watching Gundam Build Fighters Try and all I can think is 'when are they gonna give the main character an actual character'. He's had almost no plot or character building beyond how to fight, he's basically a typical shounen hero at this point.

Meanwhile Gyanko is pretty much the best character ever.

Just watched Blood: The Last Vampire, the first fully digital anime it was really cool and it's done by Studio I.G. so it looked really good.

Some of the audio being Japanese and some being English threw me off at the start though.

I guess the recent surge in gay story featuring women is straight male trying to be progressive? How is that different from yaoi? it's not being progressive it's projecting fantasm. Came back when they make sexualized male body in gay romance  Well, hello there!
