As for anime recommendations?

Fate/Zero is ongoing and interesting.

Or if youre after something thats fantasy related then one of my favorites would be 12 Kingdoms (starts slow but is awesome)

Or something else a little bit down tempo and more mature like House of 5 leaves

b) had the same brand of sketchbook

Just finished watching all of gantz in one day, also I've been reading like 300 chapters in the past 3 weeks, it's pretty much power rangers for adults.

yeah I used to read gantz up until I got caught up during the nyaryaon or w/e arc and then stopped when onemanga shut down (RIP) recently caught up to where the story is at now and boy it certainly changes

I didn't really enjoy much of gantz because nothing really made sense and the art was sort of strange at times and the characters all died always and some were just american celebrities who were there just to get naked... made it hard to get into some of the characters.

but I've kind of liked the recent stuff, sure it's just as stupid and unexplainable, but it's kind of cool seeing another human-like civilization interaction with ours. even in the context of an OVER 9000 and GRIMDARK sort of tale like Gantz is..

I think the biggest draw to gantz for me was when you were following kei as he hit complete rockbottom after the anime end (when hes the only one left and the school gets completely fucking ransacked)

Watching his values change and the way he treated people was really interesting... to the point i mostly ignored the story and looked at it as an overall concept of how people act in dire straights.

What I love best about Punpun is that the protagonist isn't some will-less stand-in for the reader- quite the opposite, Punpun does a lot of dumb and bad things because they are the sort of real life mistakes people make.

Yeah, one of the things I like about it is how well drawn it is. I also like the detail contrast between the main character and everything else.

After reading it all I'm now awaiting for the follow up. I can't wait to be depressed again with it. ;_;

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mononoke (not that Mononoke), because it seems like something that most of you guys would probably enjoy~



I actually haven't seen it all; I recently started re-watching it but I remember seeing a few episodes a couple years ago. It seems pretty interesting because it's got a unique style and it's pretty new, or at least newer by my standards.
