Has anyone here ever seen Ringing Bell? It's about a cute little lamb named Chirin who lives a protected life in a shed with his mother. Until one day a Wolf comes by and murders his mom. This leads Chirin to abandon his life behind the fence to get revenge by killing the Wolf King himself. His attempts are laughable to the Wolf King but his desire to grow strong peaks the Wolf Kings interest enough to train Chirin to become a Powerful Wolf. Obviously lambs can't become wolves but instead Chirin becomes the most bad ass Fierce Ram ever. The greatest test of his strength is to kill the lambs in his den. The ending is pretty F*cked up. I love this movie. How can you not watch this cute little lamb:  |

I watched an anime once. It was pretty good.
someone watches a giant robot anime and says its good AGAIN its like i come up to a bunch of guys and say the sun is bright and they ignore me and then 3 weeks later they're like "DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS BIG BALL OF HYDROGEN AND HELIUM CALLED THE SUN ITS BRIGHT AS FUCK"  |

Nothing, I just don't understand why these two things go hand in hand?? Clearly it is showing the relationship between dudes and mechs. If you love mechs then you probably love dudes. If you're into dudes then maybe you might like mechs. It's just the dude-mech-law-of-love. |

First time posting in this thread (I think), but I've been lurking since, well, forever.
I ended up watching Darker than Black recently based on some older posts in the thread. Quite enjoyed the first series. Was not a fan of the second series. I got the feeling with the second series they were possibly aiming for a different audience?
VDZ: Loved your post. It took me a few panels to catch on, but I was laughing my ass off by the end.
I'm quite a big fan of Excel Saga myself. Yes, it's a bit old now, but I only really ran into it myself recently. I don't see it mentioned a lot in general.

haruhi was one of my favorite series for a long time
the original airing was ingenious as the episodes were aired at random order but still made sense
plus the movie is amazing
now onto current news: hyouka wins the Anime Of The Year award for me. soooo good. such good animation, voice acting, plot, etc. the presentation is fantastic. KYOANI QUALITY
