I just want to get the basic combat laid out, and have 1 vaguely legitimate enemy before I show you what I have... at the moment its mostly bare bones that you cant really see all in one piece without using the various hotkeys/commands I've set up for myself.

After helping Armageddon with his grappling hook/ledge grabbing problems for his Batman fangame, I've decided to implement the code I wrote for him back into my project. Of course, it's a bit more tricky to deal with since I have moving objects, but it shouldn't be too difficult. That's right folks, you heard it here first. Erhardt will have ledge grabbing. Exciting, exciting stuff.
Now to deal with the animations...

Don't get me wrong, I love doing them, but it always takes me a really long time before the individual frames start to form some semblance of cohesive movement.
