a setpiece i'm currently working on



first i do a rough outline, then i fill in the detail in several passes



too many baubles i think, probably gonna take most of them out and shade the stone texture properly

The baubles wouldn't look as bad if they didn't seem identical. If some were broken, different colors, or just missing altogether it'd look a lot better.

But maybe the ruined statue thing isn't what you're aiming for.

the jawline needs to connect to the earlobe. the ear itself is too close to the eyes anyway, so moving it back so it meets the jawline will probably fix that too.

so apparently it helps to look at pictures of people so that your drawing doesnt look like some sort of anatomical abomination

(who knew)

moved the ear back and the jawline a bit forward


Things I Did Today (Codewise):

fixed a bug with the combo code where after jumping to the enemy, alina would just stand there and be unable to execute the combo

Things I Am Working On:

working on camera effects that zoom in/shake (subtly) the screen whenever alina attacks

(admittedly this isn't exactly being done in order of priority, but hey, i feel like workin' on what i feel like workin' on D:)

I saw artwork at the library that had the same problem as yours did, so I just go all confused for a hour, touching my ear and looking at everyone else's, just wondering...

was i wrong
