Guess who's ready for prime time TV? Nick the Robot! We've given him a test in the game and he performs fantastically both in the browser and on the iPad 2, so we are giving him even more screen time with this wallpaper. Enjoy! Smiley

I really like the look of this.
When you say childhood memories and kids playing around, I think of the one thing that's fantastic about being a kid and that's imagination.
You can basically turn anything into anything.. A banana becomes a gun, a teddy bear becomes a rock giant and an old cardboard box becomes a time-machine.
Not sure if this is what you're intending with your game, but I really like that idea, theme-wise.
And I also think that would make for some interesting mechanics, using imagination as a resource to turn regular things into fantastic things.

And if this game includes building stuff like forts, then I'm already a fan Smiley

Thanks for the comment Seiseki!

Imagination is definitely a big part of this project - we've all remembered those afternoons after school when we daydreamed about monsters and our super hero friends. We probably won't be using imagination as a resource right now but love your ideas!

As for building stuff....  We want to do it too, but can we make it into the game? That remains to be seen... Tongue

Hahaha great! Now if only we can make the in-game models have these facial expressions...  :p

Add tiny, speech bubble-like boxes next to the characters with hand drawn facial expressions when they have a freak out moment? Seriously, that would be awesome :D
Limit it to always be on-screen, have the bubble always point towards the character, and you got a nice stuff-is-happening-in-that-direction alert for the players Smiley

Thanks for the awesome suggestion! We have something similar to the speech bubble designed for certain things... you can catch a glimpse of it in the video montage from a few months back. Definitely trying to tie the comics and the game closer together.  Beer!

The third giant to appear in My Giants is of a different style... a ghostly, almost spiritual form of life. He might look a bit intimidating at first, but wait until you find out what he does in the game! Smiley

Patrick recorded the modeling of this character. This is part 1 (about 20 minutes long). Great How-to video if you are into character modeling.
