a spiritual successor to SMASH TV

I get asked alot if Trash TV is (totally isn't).

I've always wanted to make an FPS with super deep gun customization. Things like putting in wider barrels to support shotgun rounds, etc. All guns would be made from two pistols, a Beretta style and revolver style. So if you made a sniper, the one from the revolver style would be bigger, stronger, bolt action. The other would be smaller, faster, clip based. MMO would really make it perfect. On youtube there's amazing clip of a Glock with a drum barrel mag and wire frame stock.

I would like to make run and gun where you could put gun upgrades on top of one another and get really  super powerful weapons with quite a lot of variation!

Time Crisis clone, but 2d and with a different aesthetic. Lots of black with neon lines and plantlife mixed with technology. Like an overgrown facility in the middle of a sweltering jungle. Spooky corridor exploration (think Waxworks) before being ambushed by or engaging a group of enemies from cover, loads of simple but really satisfying animations, with a special focus on death animations, and a small variety of guns (maybe even a sword for when they get too close). Masked shock troops would be accompanied by the occasional tank-like mech that can walk and will scream or roar to intimidate the player. Environmental damage would include bullet holes, shredded plantlife, maybe even destruction of enemy cover like pillars with continued fire.

The beginning of level 3 of Perfect Dark would be an inspiration, namely the night vision effect and music.

I had a ton of notes for this but i lost them. Whatever, i mean if the ideas were good i will remember them.

I like the idea of weapon crafting, especially if there is a very large amount of source pieces to choose from. I don't think you should just limit it to revolver or magazine style base. You could have handgun bases (magazine and revolver), ribbon fed machine gun bases, assault rife base, submachine gun base, shotgun base, etc.

And then have add on pieces for barrels, more rifling for more accuracy, multi barrels, short barrels, spread barrels, long barrels, teleportation barrels, ya know go nuts.

1. Sonic the Deadhog
Sonic the Hedgehog returns as a geriatric old man. things have gone to shit now that he has been whoring himself out to the nintendo franchise for so long, and so his world has been taken over by dr robotnik. Sonic can't spin as well as he used to be able to, and so now he must use the mechanical structures that have taken over his world to navigate the world. Lots of spinnings gears and that sort of thing, oil is needed to make certain gears work, cogs need to be moved into place.

Physics puzzler. Black and white (sort of limbo / world of goo style)


2. Choose your own Comic Book
Comic book game. This is a game that uses artwork from old comic book strips and the player is able to interact with the objects in the comic strip to change the outcome of the future. Sort of like a choose your own adventure. Would be awesome if the player could see the comic strip replaying out in front of them. Reuse classic comic book artwork.


3. Inbred Rocket Strikeforce
Cross between scorched earth (worms... shoot each other with tanks) and "kerbals space program".
Build rockets to try and hit your enemies base (build them as fast as you want). Put together different rocket pieces (fuel, thrust, stablisers, etc) until you build the perfect rocket to hit each other.


4. Ingrid Bergman, you're so pretty
A marrionette doll is playing on a stage, the doll turns on projectors that show elements of film. The items that come alive from the projectors interact with the game world. think about using real footage from out-of-copyright films that have had cultural impact.

one idea would be to have the marrionette doll fall in love with a film of ingrid bergman. find a film where she is kidnapped and taken away to a volcano to be sacrificed by savages. the doll goes in search of ingrid bergman (mind you all of the activity happens on a stage of constantly evolving game elements). would be awesome to include tropes like "you're princess is on another volcano".

this game is all about fusion of film and gameplay. massive cultural impact. explore film, games. this game is about the coming of age of games over film and the debt that games owe to film. that games are part of our broader culture.


5. Something I am working on right now so I won't tell you about but it's a not very sexy iOS title that has the potential to make me money


6. RTS Battleships (meets Neptunes Pride)
Battleships where you have a certain amount of cash at the start of a game. You can buy ships of different classes.
This is a really slow game that's sort of like "neptunes pride" - played over days.
Damage mechanic - if you find a ship you also need to destroy it
Ships have range
Ships have visual radius?
Ships can move (slowly)
Ships can shoot (not while moving?)
Shooting has a cooldown
Some ships can shoot fast but do little damage

So its a game which is all about fog of war, you can shoot to try and hit cells, you move through cells, ships can shoot and have salvo rate

I would like to make fighting games. I'm working on 2 right now but it's kinda tough with two jobs. But ultimately I like writing stories... kinda ironic being so due to the fact that I love fighting games so much. ^_^
