The reindeer-thing in the new version doesn't really stand out enough to make it look like part of the lettering, making the curl coming off the 'H' look a bit wimpy and unbalanced.

You're right! MORE RIM LIGHTING! Waaagh!

UPDATE: Well I put it on there but I don't think that it worked...  Sad I suppose Chevy can decide if he likes it better or not.

Rim, phallic, and deep, huh? This is shaping up to be quite the sexy-sounding game! :D

The concept art is looking awesome btw.  Logo's not working for me yet though, typographically it's cool, it's just the gradient and softness I'm not in.

Actually, considering the game you're working on right now, we should chat sometime, as there are a few visual/aesthetic themes in common.

For sure...   Hit me up anytime man.  Would love to know how you get on with LS if you have a moment to check it out too.

How do you have such beautiful handwriting?

Aside from that.. quite impressed with how fast you're progressing on this. Looking great so far, keep up the good work all.

Yeah, for serious, Chevy! You probably have that teacher handwriting stuff going on.

I feel so ashamed of mine. You'd think I didn't know how to hold a pencil.  Droop

I just can't wait 'til we can show screenshots!

Who wants a mockup? This is a pic of actual game assets arranged, I can more or less already build areas like this in the editor. Twobitart added fog and stuff to this since I haven't coded in the rendering for that yet, but this is the look we're going for, more or less:

The moths will be creatures that actually fly around, and sort of "follow" you, I'm looking into shaders to achieve a nice glow-effect with certain objects like that in the game.

What think?

Very cool, good to see some assets for this. Hand Thumbs Up Right

You can see the time that went into it, so best of luck to twooby as this ambitious thing goes on. Be careful with color though, the greens flatten things out a little.

It's not finished until the entire game is finished. We're holding off realllly polishing the artwork until twobitart can see all the things in-motion. I'm able to place objects on different layers for a really elaborate parallax effect in motion, so once she sees that, we'll do tweaks to make it look good.

Make no assumptions about what it'll look like when it's done, 'cause you'll be wrong Smiley just showing off some WIP stuff 'cause you guys have been asking, that's all.

I can only afford to pay twobit for so long before my funds run out, so up to this point I've been like "plz make as much as you can really fast!", once I get things in motion and all of the pieces come together (really soon!), I'll see what my options are.

Exited, though, it's going really smoothly Smiley

The game looks just awesome, though it's a big shame that you're developing it in XNA (-> Windows only).
