Looking great!! It's all looking more and more different to the original ANSI style, but still very good.

Thanks guys, karlo yeah its a simple shader, actually the whole thing is composited in shaders, in two passes, so doing an effect like that is pretty easy - just perturb your texture lookup by some amount when you are rendering a water pixel. I also have other effects like gamma, vignette, glow, tone-mapping, etc. All fairly subtle, but adjustable. Update: v1.0 is much closer now that we can all stand on tables

You totally got to have console ports as a stretch goal, PS4/Vita would be perfect for moonman! (imo)

I also think that Moonman could have a ton of potential for consoles, assuming the control scheme doesn't overly require a mouse?

While I may not have shown as much dedication to read the entire devlog in a day this is still completely awesome and a must buy for me.

Shift the mouth up one pixel thanks for reading the whole thing, I can't believe you did that, it's pretty long now.. As for psvita etc, I've been thinking more and more about making it controller compatible, so if I figure that out (right now it's quite dependant on mouse) then the next obvious step is to start testing a ps vita version I suppose! But this would be a long time away, my ultimate first priority is to get it released on steam for PC .. All other platforms come second. krux - the game is basically a mission driven Terraria-style world exploration game. I'm working towards running a KS atm, and that will have a lot of footage. Stay tuned.

Update: More stuff. Aww... some of these snowflakes remind me of the winters of my youth in 1930's Germany.

The head also seems more vertical on the character, but I suppose it's not designed to be seen dead center.

Is there no background on the last one? Otherwise those look super cool. Good work! I really like the use of color here and the pixel work is very nice!

But this would be a long time away, my ultimate first priority is to get it released on steam for PC .. All other platforms come second. One other advantage to getting the game to be controller-compatible is that it makes local co-op a possibility where it wouldn't be with keyboard/mouse inputs only. Because if there's one thing Moonman needs, it's a larger scope
