Hi,

This is my simple tool, 3D isometric pixel art editor made in .NET with export to png file and obj file (WIP).

Well this looks realy intersting.

Especially those X-Com mockup screens look like the real thing when scaled down enough so the individual cubes don't show up.

I have to try this at some point.

I really love this, and it's a great way of building such scenes - using layer upon layer. Well done!

My only concern is it offers a very specific style, I'm wondering if you have any plans to adjust pixel size or anything that could widen its uses?

you can define light direction, dynamic shadow level, black outline level, single pixel size, scenery size in pixels XYZ, isometric or normal view (8 views per 45 deg)
