Hi everyone!
Glad to be around
I am making a small game called SONAR which will be released October 31st. Maybe you want to check it out. This is what it's all about:
"You are Catherine Dubont.
The Laser Drill opened a cavern 10 miles beyond the surface of the earth.
They installed an elevator which you and some others took to go down all the way into the world of the unknown.
As you almost reached the bottom of the drill hole, the elevator rope broke and the cabin dropped down the last 100 feet.
Everyone is dead. All lights are gone.
The only thing you have left is your modern sonar scanner."
The game is very minimalistic in graphics but with pretty much work done on sound design instead. The main concept is based on the idea that you can't see anything, so you have to use a sonar scanner to orientate in the dark caverns inside the earth. Everything you see as ingame graphics literally is the display of that scanner. Your main "sensor" so to speek is your ears. Hear them, before they hear you. The trick is that there are creatures down there which orientate like bats. Seeing something can always mean to be heard by something
Maybe you want to check it out and share your thoughts. I would be very interested what you think about it.
There is a trailer on youtube:
And a playable demo on
