I can get an open return train ticket for birmingham, but it gets there for 4:30, will anyone be around at that time or shall i just jam around town for a couple hours?

also, how long do these things usually last?

I probably won't be there until 6:30ish but others might be able to go earlier. They usually last until about 10pm or a bit after.

Great meetup! The venue might have been a bit harder to find than anticipated. Was pretty busy too, though worked out pretty well as we nabbed a table pretty quickly.

Great to meet people as always!

Thanks Ishi for organising last night.  Nice to meet everyone and hear what you're up to.  There's a couple of Birmingham game events coming up that might be of interest at Birmingham Science Park.  The most important one is this:

http://launchconference.co.uk/giant-screen

As we're showing Renga, our game for cinemas on Birmingham's Giant Screen.  If you're quick you can still get free tickets.  Will be £30 nearer the time though!

Maybe see you there or at least at future Midlands Indies!

Would be cool to try out the cinema game! Anyone else fancy going too? Don't fancy going alone.

Just bumping the thread as the next meetup is this week:

13th June, Inspire, Coventry

Hopefully I'll make it, but I've had a horrible stomach bug for the last couple of weeks, and it just doesn't quite want to go away Sad

You do have a habit of putting these during the main conferences Tongue First it was GDC and now its Develop.  So can't make this one - but would like to Sad

As it happens I probably couldn't make it the week after anyway - think we'll be showing Renga in Liverpool.

I'm going to miss this one too, as I've just booked a couple of nights in Brighton for Develop Indie Day, and the Indie Marketing afternoon the day before.

Hmm, maybe we could delay this one to Wed 18th instead? - if there's some of us at Develop? (A few of us are planning a trip to Cambridge Indies on the 10th, too...)

Delaying would be fine by me. Stops us clashing with the WordPress group too Wink

Hmm, any objections? If not I'll edit the main post.

It's got a bit short notice now sorry, kept meaning to make it official and forgetting. Changed it to the 18th though.
