So, anyone else notice the massive amounts of Steve Jobs biographies on discount?

I noticed the flood of inane news stories promoting his biography by pulling random tidbits from it.  Like, "steve jobs didn't get the dessert he wanted when he met with obama!" or whatever.

I've seen some claiming that Google is what it is because Steve Jobs gave them advice, and that Bill Clinton was taking advice from him when the whole Monica Lewinsky thing happened. Roll Eyes

So they surveyed "1,000 gaming-industry executives" and ended up with short-term trend-following answers indicating a lack of appreciation for the history of the medium ... I wonder if they had surveyed programmers and designers and artists, how different the answers would be.

Uh... What? That's just ridiculous. I can't stand how people all jump the bandwagon and chorus how much of a genius/pioneer/god Steve Jobs was simply because everyone else is doing it and/or they own an iProduct. No, just no. He wasn't any of those things. He's not even close to being the "most influential gamer person"... What a fucking joke!

"At the moment, the U.S. economy could use about a thousand—maybe a million—Steve Jobses". This thread is now about the Apocalypse that would follow.

with a million steve jobs we could build an ark for mankind and launch to the stars.
