With its combination of ridiculously catchy music hearkening to diabolic NES puzzle games, absurd/abstract/sadistic premise, clever writing, amazing sound effects, polished execution, and original concept (afaik), it was love at first sight.  Currently at "BIG"

Favorite quote so far: "Do the opposite of what you just did.  Fill your life with voids."

(probably better to place this in feedback or announcements rather than here, by the way)

this is a cool concept, don't think I've seen it before.

had to skip the level "the squeeze" though, only one I had real trouble with.

Ah, so this is what nutcasenightmare's been doing with himself lately...

Personally, I can't exactly call it love at first sight...to me it's one of those games that initially you don't think much of—sure, she looks nice, but her voice sounds like NES triangle waves and she has a reputation for using and abusing memes. But she's also friends with some of your friends so you tend to be around her a lot. And, y'know, after a while you realize that she's not such a bad person. She has a unique way of thinking, punctuated by some appropriate wit at places, and she has a wacky side that somehow doesn't get overbearing at times. Sure, she may not have very good taste in some things, but is that enough to hold you back?

So you jump in. You take the plunge, and thankfully enough she consents. But as you get to know her, as you start to really emotionally connect with her, the ugly sides rear their heads in full force. What used to be humorous now comes off as annoying. The depths of her personality suddenly taper off without warning. And worst of all, you realize how rigid in dogma she really is. In her mind, "perfect" and "acceptable" are rarely two different things, and rarely are either very obvious. Yes, her good qualities are still present, but are those qualities really worth all the frustration?

Eventually you decide to just cut your losses and remain "just friends." But it's not like it's much of a loss—after all, you've seen (and conquered!) all of her, and have even starred 40 of her levels...

I give it a solid 8.5. I'll bump it to a 9.5 if the dude promises to never make another :the game: sequel.
