actually I think the problem was that the sprites, were made to go on a warm green and now they are on a cool blue.

redid the colors on the main character. Which ones do you like best?

the green guy! but #1 and #3 also look pretty cool. I think the the dark beard doesn't work so good.

yeah i think the green is my favorite so far. with 3 being a close second. although I wonder if the green color i to ludicrous. also this makes me think of doing like a zelda four swords type game.

Yeah I have several friends who are red green color blind. It made fps mini maps super hard to read. On a side note why do you have a red green avatar.

I preferred the green one as well until you reminded me of link.

I think this game would benefit from even more contrast, and more importantly DIFFERENT HUES.
Here's a quick example.

(the blue one was my second choice because the rest looks a bit boring frankly)

Yeah. I kind of liked the Muted blues and greys of the background because I hoped it would make the backgrounds pop more. I might have to do some color tests to see how everything looks.

also can you imagine if this was the actual size of a level

so I think for now I am going to leave the background the muted blue. It allows me to make brighter sprites that pop off the screen like the goblin. Working on redoing the sprites now.

I like the Main Guy and also the goblin. what do you think about the Mouse, Big Fire Guy and Little Fire Guy. I don't like the small fire guy and would love some suggestions. basically if you hit the little guy with a fire attack he becomes the big guy. don't do that.

Enemies!!

What do you think? does the second mouse work better then the first one? Sadly the two monsters at the bottom are to big.

It may just be a timing thing or you may need one more frame but it seems like he takes the glass from his mouth too soon, almost before he's finished it. Not a very natural action I think you'd agree Smiley I would make sure there's a frame with an empty glass still at his lips.

On second inspection.. are those orange pixels serving as the colour of the liquid and his fingers? Or are there no fingers holding the glass at all?

Animation seems fine, but potion shouldn't be same color as beard.

I don't see much wrong with it as it is, but a few suggestions that might help. Green coloured potion, tilt head back when drinking and some indication of gulping, a drop of spilt liquid, wipe mouth/beard clean with the other hand.

not a problem. Pretty scary actually. it would be crazy if it was a blob, and then took that shape when next to you.

You should definitely do that! I would scary the bejeezus out of me! Haha that would be really freaky :D
