Monaco, blueberry garden, trauma, etc are bring or were released thanks yo the bump in money and publicity from the igf. While there are certainly heavily polished and invested games, in the two years I've judged (soon to be three) I've been pretty surprised by hoe many good games I've never seen were submitted. Monaco was an especially pleasant shot in the dark.

As I told phubans: I judge games based on their quality, not who made them. If you are confident your games owns, you should submit it. Also, games are randomly assigned. I only judge 15 or so games each cycle. I also give feedback, unlike the majority of judges. Basically, I'm awesome.

All the IGF hate up in hur. Which I can understand coming from y'allz POV...

yeah anyone who complains about anything is miserable, unhappy and doesn't know how to be happy, unproductive, never made anything worthwhile, and other terrible things. it's impossible for anything to ever have problems or to be improved, criticism of any kind means there's something wrong with you; even merely suggesting ways to improve something means you're full of hate, cognitive dissonance, and decrepitude, and it is reasonable to judge all that from forum posts alone over the internet

have you measured this "so much time"? how many hours do you think we've spent complaining, individually? i would guess less than an half an hour apiece, about as much time as someone spends watching an episode of spongebob

also, why do you feel it makes a community cooler to just do what they are told without thinking on their own, or to all agree with each other 100% of the time? i'd say that makes a community far less cool. why would you even go to a forum if you want everyone to agree with you on everything
