It's just my impression or hanako's posts are a lot more snark with his/her use of the smiley? (e.g. They did that previously. Aren't you paying attention? )

(I missed this post.) Good move on his part. That said would he have done the same without all the pressure? Maybe yes, maybe not. But at least that Japanese developer now knows that he hasn't done anything wrong.

Who the hell cares? The guy's acted with grace. He's apologised. Accept it. You can't ask for anything more than that. If you're going to hold everyone to everything they've ever done wrong you're making the world a pretty awful place.

Try it sometime. Go to, say, the GMC. Grab 10 titles from the WIP forums and 10 from completed games. DO NOT preselect for games that look better or more-complete. Play each for a full hour and leave a detailed review on each. This won't really give you the IGF experience, of course, because it's unlikely that any of those games will require you to download over a gig multiple times to find a working installer, or install craploads of weird shit on your computer to get them to run, or be incomprehensibly 'artistic'. I suspect you'll soon start to get the point of why an hour is not necessary to determine the quality of most of what you're playing, especially when the entirety of your job is to figure out whether it should be passed up for more-detailed investigation by another group of people. Go to say the Tigsource Feedback Forum. Pick whatever amount of finished or unfinished titles. Play them for a few hours. Provide feedback. Including installing weird shit, fixing problems and wondering wtf is up with those art experiences. Been there, done that. It's really not that special. And I'm sorry, if you can't be arsed to invest at least an hour into a product someone else has invested a multitude of hours in, maybe being judge or providing feedback just isn't for you?

I didn't said that he wasn't sincere, I just said that he might just have ignored the situation if it didn't spread out. He was also an ass to phubans, if that appeared on kotaku he would think twice on what he did and excuse to him. I didn't think that he was lying.

Except he apologized at the event too, and apologized again publicly because people can't seem to let shit go when they smell blood and perceived injustice.
